At Designström we strive for an enjoyable renovation with good communication between all parties involved. Therefore we have created this step by step guide of our design process.

Phase 1
Design Development
Concept Drawings (fixed fee)

  • Step 1

    In-home or virtual consultation with our Designstrom team

  • Step 2

    Acceptance of fee proposal, signed contract payment of design fee and commencement of project

  • Step 3

    On-site measurements and verification, photos and document gathering of existing space

  • Step 4

    Creating / developing of floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings and / or mood boards and sourcing of suggested materials

  • Step 5

    Presentation of final concept design package

Phase 2
Product Specifying
Finalizing, Quoting & Ordering (hourly fee)

  • Step 6

    Final specifications and quoting on selected products, materials and finishes

  • Step 7

    Collection of payments for quoted products and placement of orders

Phase 3
Renovation Oversight
Documentation, Drawings & Coordination (hourly fee)

  • Step 8

    Preparation of trade drawings and finishing schedules

  • Step 9

    Initiation of construction and renovation

  • Step 10

    Site review throughout renovation. acceptance of deliveries of products. Coordination of installation of products and finishes

  • Step 11

    Styling and final reveal of finished space (if required

  • Step 12

    Walk through, closure meeting and delivery of any final invoices. Thank you!
